Microsoft Word Toolkit
The Microsoft Word toolkit connects Arcade to a user's OneDrive-hosted Word documents via the Microsoft Graph API, enabling LLMs to create, read, and edit .docx files programmatically.
Capabilities
- Document creation: Create new Word documents in OneDrive with optional initial text content (4 MB upload limit).
- Document retrieval: Fetch a
.docxfile's full content (returned as Markdown by default) or metadata only; supports toggling between both modes. - Document editing: Append text to the end of an existing
.docxfile (4 MB limit;.docxformat required). - User context: Retrieve information about the authenticated user and their Microsoft Word/OneDrive environment.
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via the Microsoft provider. See the Arcade Microsoft auth provider docs for setup instructions, including registering an app in Azure and configuring the provider in Arcade.
